What Mix Player is
Mix Player is a local-first media player with an optional Google Play Premium subscription. Basic local playback is available without a subscription. While Premium is active, it removes feature restrictions—including network streams and NAS—and disables advertising in versions that include ads. It does not host, recommend or distribute media and does not upload your media, viewing history, typed URLs or NAS credentials to the developer.
Data on your device
With your permission, Mix Player reads videos and basic file metadata to show and play items you select. Playback history, resume positions, typed URLs, preferences and NAS settings remain in private app storage. NAS passwords use AES-GCM with a key protected by Android Keystore. SFTP host keys are pinned locally. Direct-stream segments may use a 512 MB cache and NAS playback may create a temporary cached copy. A rotating playback diagnostic log stays on the device; source URLs and header values are redacted, it is never uploaded automatically, and it leaves the device only if you choose Share. Android backup and device transfer are disabled for app data.
Streams and network storage
Requests for a URL, SMB or SFTP server go to the destination you choose, including referenced playlists, redirects, segments and subtitles. A manually supplied Referer, Cookie or other request-header value is used only for that playback and is not saved. The destination may receive your IP address, request and credentials under its own policy. HTTPS and SFTP protect traffic when correctly configured; HTTP and some RTSP are cleartext, and SMB encryption depends on the server.
Premium and subscription processing
When you open Premium, purchase, restore or manage a plan, Mix Player and the subscription service process the information needed to provide and protect Premium. This includes a randomly generated app-installation identifier, short-lived request identifiers, purchase and plan information, entitlement dates and status, and basic security records.
Google Play provides a purchase credential when a purchase or restore is attempted. Mix Player sends it over HTTPS to a restricted verification service, which checks it with Google Play and gives the central entitlement service a derived reference and the verified subscription state. Access is based on an eligible purchase verified by the service.
Google Play
Google Play processes product queries, purchase UI, payment, acknowledgement, subscription management, restoration and lifecycle events under Google’s terms and privacy policy. The developer does not receive full payment-card details. Google Play Billing may send its own operational telemetry to Google. Play Android Vitals may process crash and stability data for Play-distributed builds. The in-app review API may ask Google Play to show a rating flow; Mix Player does not receive the rating or learn whether you submitted one.
Developer service records and retention
Hosting and security systems may receive network and request metadata, app identifiers, response status and limited operational logs. The subscription service keeps transaction, entitlement, plan, price, lifecycle and anti-abuse records needed to provide Premium, recover purchases, handle refunds and disputes, maintain security and meet accounting or legal obligations. Raw Google Play purchase credentials, media URLs and NAS credentials are not included in product analytics. Records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for these purposes or as required by law. Google and destinations you choose follow their own retention schedules.
Your controls and deletion
Settings lets you clear playback/URL history, local diagnostics, saved servers and credentials, and cached media. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes private app data without deleting original media. You can restore purchases in Mix Player and manage or cancel subscriptions through Google Play. To request access or deletion of developer-service records, email the contact above with “Mix Player Privacy Request” and any transaction or request details you still have. Records required for payment, fraud prevention, disputes or law may be retained. Because identifiers are minimized, the developer may be unable to locate a record without sufficient proof.
Sharing, sale and children
Data is shared only with service providers needed for hosting, security, limited product operations and Google Play subscription processing, or when law requires it. The developer does not sell personal information and does not use media activity for advertising or model training. Mix Player is intended for users aged 13 and over.

This policy may be updated when features, providers or law change. The date above identifies the current version.
